英语讲故事一:That Is Not My Dog!/那不是我的狗

 

A woman walks into a pet shop and sees a cute little dog. She asks the shopkeeper, “Does your dog bite?”

一个妇人走进一家宠物店,看见一只很可爱的小狗。她问店主:“你的狗咬人吗?”

The shopkeeper says, “No, my dog does not bite.”

店主说:“不,我的狗不咬人。”

The woman tries to pet the dog and the dog bites her.

于是这个妇人试着抚摸小狗,可是小狗却咬了她。

“Ouch!” She says, “I thought you said your dog does not bite!”

“哎哟!”妇人说,“我想你刚才还说你的狗不咬人。”

The shopkeeper replies, “That is not my dog!”

店主人回答说:“那不是我的狗。”

 

英语讲故事二:Eating cake/吃蛋糕

 

“Tom, what’s the matter with your brother?” asked the mother in the kitchen. “He’s crying.”

“汤姆,你弟弟怎么了?” 妈妈在厨房里问。”他在哭。”

“Oh, nothing, Mum, ” replied Tom. “I’m eating my cake. He is crying because I won’t give him any.”

“没事儿,妈妈,” 汤姆答道。”我在吃我的蛋糕。他哭是因为我不给他吃。”

“But has he finished his own cake?”

“他已经吃完自己的了么?”

“Yes.” said Tom. “And he also cried when I was helping him finish that.”

“是的。” 汤姆说。”我帮他吃完时,他也哭了。”

 

 

 

英语讲故事三:The Peanuts/花生

 

A guy goes to visit his grandma and he brings his friend with him.

一名男子带着朋友去探望他的祖母。

While he’s talking to his grandma, his friend starts eating the peanuts on the coffee table, and finishes them off.

当他和祖母聊天时,他的朋友开始吃咖啡桌上放的花生,并把花生都给吃光了。

As they’re leaving, his friend says to his grandma, “Thanks for the peanuts.”

他们离开时,他的朋友对祖母说:”谢谢您的花生。”

She says, “Yeah,  since I lost my dentures I can only suck the chocolate off.”

结果祖母说:”唉!自从我牙齿掉光后,我就只能吮掉花生豆外层的巧克力了。”

 

英语讲故事四:Anne’s Age/安妮的年龄

 

Teacher: How old are you, Anne?

老师:安妮,你几岁?

Anne: Fifteen.

安妮:十五岁。

Teacher: But you were only seven last year, and now you are eight years old.

老师:你去年才七岁,现在应该是八岁啊!

Anne: Well, seven last year and eight this year make fifteen.

安妮:对啦,去年七岁加今年八岁等于十五岁。
